How to Upload CSV to Shutterstock

Shutterstock's contributor Submit workflow can apply CSV metadata after your image or video files are uploaded.

Prepare the matching asset batch

Keep the filenames you intend to use in the CSV. A row cannot attach correctly when its filename does not match the uploaded asset.

Generate and review metadata

Check descriptions, keywords, categories and any optional Editorial, Mature Content or Illustration flags.

Export the Shutterstock preset

Use the platform-specific CSV rather than renaming columns from another marketplace export.

Use the CSV control on the Submit page

Shutterstock's current guide says to add the CSV directly from the Submit page rather than uploading it with the media through FTPS or the web upload page.
