How to Write Stock Photography Titles

The best stock title is usually a compact description of the main subject, action and setting.

Use a subject-first structure

Start with what the buyer is looking at, then add the most useful action or setting.

Include differentiating details

Color, viewpoint, age group, environment or copy-space direction can be useful when clearly visible and relevant.

Keep claims factual

Avoid assigning an occupation, exact place or emotion that cannot be verified from the image.

Let keywords do their job

Do not squeeze every synonym into the title. Use the keyword field for secondary search terms.
